Cypherthoth: Fall of the World Tree

A continuation of this journal fav.me/d7fszr4 and the card game I've been coming up with... well partially a card game and partially a virtually interactive system with customizable cards. 
So far the players are known as Cyphers, the customizable avatar card is the Deva, the interface deck is the Codex and the virtual playing field is the Artifice.  A Codex in Voyeur mode can spectate broadcasting duels within range and the more voyeurs present the more resources available for a duel through shared processing. 
I'm thinking maybe starting a kickstarter for an animated version of the game before a playable version but coming up with a good story might be difficult.  It would be interesting to see the duels from voyeur mode in the setting of a tournament.  The interactions between a Cypher and Deva between duels and the evolution of the Deva over time might also be cool.  Due to the level of customization it is almost impossible to judge a Deva on appearance alone so many players might not be taken as a serious threat at first simply because they don't look threatening.  Like the toon dark magician girl from Yugioh or Tama from Selector Infected Wixoss.
